Nehemiah Ties

Mentorship Program

Building Legacy One Tie At A Time

About Us

Nehemiah Ties Mentor Program is designed to prepare young gentlemen between the ages of 7-18, that are either in foster care, awaiting adoption, or live in a single mother-led home. Our purpose is to assist them in becoming well rounded men. Teaching them how to be caring, meek, active listeners, and chivalrous; while learning how to tie various neckties.

Our Goal

To help young men develop into respectful, responsible and successful adults who are able to contribute positively to society.

What We Do

We are a program designed for community Men Of Valor to team up and be that light for our developing male youth. We are there to meet the beautiful young minds where they are and equip them with essential tools while they are at their most impressionable stage; which will carry into their adulthood.

Who We Serve

Young men aged 7-18 that are either in foster care, awaiting adoption, or being raised in single-mother-led households.

Our Focus

We prioritize in providing exceptional mentorship, character building, and equipping young men with tools for life.

Why Nehemiah Ties?

The name Nehemiah Ties is inspired by the biblical figure Nehemiah who was a leader and builder, that restored the wall of his hometown. He returned home and gave back to his land when it seemed like all hope was lost. The purpose behind our mission is for generous men in the community to give back to their environment and service the children in need. In much the same way, this program is committed to helping build up the man within each young gentleman. This is done through mentorship, character development, leadership training, and life skills. Participants are encouraged to strengthen the foundation of who they are and who they are becoming.

The necktie serves as a meaningful symbol throughout the Nehemiah Ties Mentor Program, connecting hands-on learning with important lessons in character and personal development. Each young gentleman is encouraged to understand that true refinement begins from within. Through the program, students develop stronger Interpersonal Skills while learning the principles of Formal Table Etiquette. Learning to navigate a multi-course placement setting teaches patience, awareness, respect, and social grace. This reminds us that everything in life has a proper time, place, and purpose. Learning different necktie knots teaches focus, precision, patience, and adaptability, all of which are valuable in everyday interactions.

Although a necktie may seem like nothing more than an article of clothing, within our brotherhood community, it represents: connection, unity, responsibility, and purpose. The Nehemiah Ties Mentor Program brings together character, confidence, chivalry, accountability, and practical life skills to help shape young men into respectful, confident gentlemen.

Every lesson is intentional. Whether a student is learning to tie a Four-in-Hand, practicing active listening, or learning how to engage in meaningful conversation across the dining table—each experience offers a lesson that reaches far beyond the activity itself. These moments remind our young gentlemen that strong foundations are built one intentional step at a time.

As our students learn to tie their neckties and carry themselves with confidence and poise, they are also developing the values, habits, and principles that can guide them throughout life. The goal is not simply to teach young men how to look like gentlemen, but to help them understand what it means to live as one. A man of valor with character, compassion, confidence, responsibility, and purpose.

It all ties together!
